Wonderful creature, doesn't need to be pretty.
Eats slugs and snails? I want a goanna!
For a minute I thought it was a real goanna - scary dudes - and BIG!One raided a picnic once - he made off with a roast chicken and we were terrified!
Grrl.... he is a real one !
This is an even-handed, balanced blog, isn't it? So let's hear an interview on behalf of the slugs and snails. They might well disagree.
He looks a bit like you mosaiced him!
oh wow, i can't imagine meeting this in my garden! so weirdly beautiful
Gorgeous, in a prehistoric, dinosaur way. Is it pettable? What did Bryn say...well, not say, exactly, but you know what I mean.
We, in the UK, only have the stone one we brought back from Oz.
see, dragons are real!
What a wonderful visitor. Sadly, I have lost the population of hedgehogs who used to mop up the slugs and snails, but I do have a badger family. (Are these facts connected, I wonder?)
Please send me one too. Alternatively I could send you LOTS of slugs and snails for his dinner.
Eek.But, as long as he doesn't eat toes, too...then yes...i think.
